SGPC launches Sikh campaign in every village of Punjab

AMRITSAR:  The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has drawn up a program to reach out to all the villages of Punjab under the massive Dharam Prachar Lahir dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.

Under this the President of the SGPC
Bibi Jagir Kaur today dispatched campaigners for different constituencies who would preach Sikhism in one village for a week and this series would continue.

Bibi Jagir Kaur said that before the 400th birth centenary of the ninth Guru Sri Guru  Teg Bahadur ji, ceremonies could not be held in the villages due to corona, which has now been started.

She  said that this Dharam Prachar campaign has been launched under the banner of 'Ghar Ghar Andar Dharamsal' and at the same time 100 preachers would preach in the villages.

 The preacher will work in one village for 7 days and after that he will leave for other villages in the same manner.

Jagir Kaur said that under the supervision of three zones of Dharam Prachar in Punjab viz. During the campaign tour, the pracharak jathas will connect the sangat with Gurbani inside the village gurdwaras, as well as discuss the Sikh code of conduct, Sikh history and Sikh doctrines. Katha Vichars will be conducted in every town for 7 days in the morning and evening and the preachers will go from house to house with the Granthi Singhs. During this time, religious as well as sangat will continue to be distributed.

 She said that this campaign would reach out to every village of Punjab and connect the Sangat with Gursikhi.

She also informed that during the Dharam Prachar campaign,
, Amrit Chakhan would be specially encouraged and Amrit Sanchar would be conducted by conducting various Gurmat Samagams.
