Congress launches long struggle against agriculture ordinances

KAPURTHALA:The Congress party today launched a long struggle against the three anti-farmer ordinances passed by the Parliament by staging dharnas in various villages of the district Kapurthala in which farmers and laborers took part in protests against the SAD-BJP central government.

The Senior Congress leaders like Former Minister Rana Gurjit Singh, Joginder Singh Maan and Phagwara MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal also expressed the solidarity of farmers and workers for the protection of their rights.
The Congress stalwart leaders addressed the dharnas held in different villages of the district Kapurthala including Phagwara Assembly constituency and urged the people to unite and raise their voice against these genocidal decisions by making them aware of the adverse effects of the three ordinances in the next 2 years.
They said that no section of the society would be immune from the ill effects of these laws as the income of every resident of Punjab was linked to agriculture.
Several other congress leaders like Gurdeep Singh Bishnapur, Jaspal Singh, Avtar Singh, Daljit Taju, Sanjeev Bugga, Gurjit Walia and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
