General elections have started in India. BJP, Congress and all other national and provincial political parties have released their election manifestos. But apart from a few make-believe promises, there is nothing new in them.
What the people actually want has hardly been touched by any party.
The public wants that all government employees (whether central or state level ) should get the same dearness allowance on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October without fail.
The public wants that every elected MP and MLA should get only one pension.
The public wants Indians above 70 years of age to get a 25% discount on bus, train and air travel.
People want the pension of a government employee which is given to one's life partner after the employee's death, but if both of them die, then 25% of the pension should be given to the children until one of them gets a job.
People want that all government and semi-government institutions of the entire country should work from 9 am to 5 pm and there should be holidays on Saturday and Sunday. If an employee has to sit more than these hours he should get an additional allowance double the salary.
The public wants that the money saved in the ration given at PDS shops should be deposited directly into the account of ration card holders so that anyone can buy any kind of food grains from anywhere and the scam of Ration Deepu should be stopped.
People want that bill payment for any government and non-government offices etc in the entire country should only be done online.
