AMRITSAR: Baba Balbir Singh head of Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal 96 crori has expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate demise of former Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Surjit Singh Minhas.
In a press release here today Baba Balbir Singh said that Surjit Singh Minhas served as Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Irrigation, and Power Departments of Punjab.
Head of Nihangs prayed to the almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the family.
He said that Surjit Singh Minhas Mith Bolde was known as a gentle and wise personality in Sikh politics. Minhas also rendered distinguished services as Speaker of Legislative Assembly and Chairman Improvement Trust, Jalandhar, for a long time. He did monumental work during his political journey.
With his death, Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabi people have suffered an irreparable loss, but everyone has to accept the wish of Akal Purakh. He has expressed his deepest condolences to the Minhas family.
