CHANDIGARH:His fierce passion and undiluted enthusiasm during the break of COVID-19 in
Chandigarh has been recognized not less than SKOCH Awards. A communiqué to this effect

interactions and assessment of your work by our panel of experts, it is my pleasure to inform you
that you have qualified for the SKOCH Order-of-Merit Semi Finals".
Earlier, he has been honored with State level award, conferred on the eve of Independence

PO's & volunteers that brought the hot spot out from the pandemic. Ram Darbar's Bapudham

The activities carried out by NSS UT Chandigarh PO's and volunteers include face mask making;
distribution of immunity booster; cooked food and ration distribution; sanitization of hot spots and
spread of awareness among the public about social distancing and steps to be taken for prevention
of pandemic spread and succeeded in their given task.
“The hard work put in by the NSS volunteers, supplemented by a sustained campaign and
effective co-ordination by all, have resulted in overall growth of NSS activities in Chandigarh, ” he
says and believes
All these years his stay with the State NSS Cell, Chandigarh being at helm of affairs he had
initiated a number of projects that represent not only social face of NSS force but also a visible
relevance of its activities. With his industrious and indulgent instinct, his devotion to work has made
an obscure ‘force’ into a force of 18, 000 NSS volunteers recognized at various platforms of regional,
state, national and even at international delegation level for outstanding volunteers.
It is indeed quite a task to sum up his passion for work. Wedded to his noble profession,
titles and awards for him are not half as important as the work that made him earn these.
