BBMB bags first position in Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar 2021-22

CHANDIGARH: Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has been awarded the first prize in the 'B' region under the Rajbhasha Kirti Awards for the best implementation of Official Language Policy during the year 2021-22.

Giving the above information, Rahul Kansal, Joint Secretary / Official Language and Public Relations, BBMB told that on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2022, in the second All India Official Language Conference organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium, Surat (Gujarat), the Chief Guest Mr Amit Shah, for Home and Cooperation, Government of India honored Mr Rahul Kansal, on behalf of BBMB, with the first position in Rajbhasha Kirti Award.

This award is given every year on the occasion of Hindi Diwas by the Department of Official Language for the best implementation of Official Language Policy under different categories 'A' 'B' and 'C' of Government of India Boards/ Autonomous Bodies / Societies, Nationalized Banks / Financial Institutions etc.

BBMB Chairman Mr Sanjay Srivastava congratulated all the officers and employees of BBMB on receiving this prestigious award and said that all the employees and officers of BBMB were feeling proud in themselves and all this was the result for their hard work and resolution to furtherance of Hindi language. He further said that this award would motivate them to do more and more work in Hindi in future.
