One-day sensitisation programe for stake holders for G-20

CHANDIGARH--Ministry of Tourism Govt of India (North) organised one day Sensitisation programme in Chandigarh for Travel Trade and Hospitality Stakeholders to train the first focal point contact personnel of hotels (Housekeeping department, Front office dept. Door man, Bell boy, Security, F and B services, Drivers) Travel trade professionals, Auto Coach, Taxi drivers, Souvenir shop owners and others, who will be at services during the forthcoming G20 meeting in Chandigarh on 30th and 31st of January 2023.

Representatives from travel agents, tour operators, hotel front office, Food & beverages, Incredible India Tourist Facilitators IITF, and others attended the program. The opening day program was chaired by Dr. Sandeep Kulshreshtha IITTM, Dr.Arun Thakur University Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management Punjab University, along with Mr. Sitesh Srivastava Principal AIHM Chandigarh , Mr. Vishal Kalia Principal CIHM and Mr. Manmeet Singh, President IATO- Punjab chapter. All of them spoke about the importance of G20 events and interacted with attendees on best possible hospitality, courteous to be offered to the guests. The daylong session was conducted by Dr. Sandeep Kulshrestha.

Discussion topics included: G20 an Introduction; Tourism Benefits and your role as Cultural Ambassador; G20 Countries. Do's and Don't-Safe and Responsible tourism; Gender Sensitisation; Swatcha Bharat and Swatcha Parytan.

There were more than 50 participants who attended the program. At the same time, Mr. Awanish Kumar represented Regional Director office (North) Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, in the sensitisation program.
