MOHALI: The Department of Computer Applications of Rayat Bahra University organized a live webinar on `Career Opportunities in Computer Applications’. A large number of students and faculty members participated in this webinar.
Anita Goyal, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, welcomed the speaker of the day Sunil Sharma, Python Expert, Thinknext Technologies, and she said that the primary focus of this webinar was to bridge the industry academia gap and lay a strong foundation of job readiness for the students. She said that the university was awarding e-certificates to all the participants attending this webinar.
Sunil Sharma said the webinar was aimed to make the students expert in the field of Information Technology by channelizing technical knowledge and skills to ensure personal and professional growth and to contribute to the prosperity of the organization.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh appreciated the ideas of such webinars and stressed on the need of giving practical exposure to the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean Dr Ajay Sharma emphasized that these webinars played a vital role in skill development and that was the need of the hour. He also underlined the importance of organizing such activities regularly as these were essential for updating the knowledge of the students.
