CHANDIGARH: In a world that often measures the success of sports by the roar of the crowd, a different kind of intensity is unfolding on Tuesday. It is a game played in silence, but filled with connection. Beyond the high-octane action, we look at the 'pause' moments—where hands communicate faster than voices, smiles are shared over water breaks and lasting friendships are forged in the quiet camaraderie of the 27th National Deaf Senior Sports Championship and 10th National Deaf sub-junior and junior sports championship which was concluded successfully at Sector 38 sports complex, Chandigarh.

The event was organized by the Punjab Deaf and Dumb Sports Association and Deaf Sports Association of Chandigarh under All India Sports Council of Deaf. The event saw participation of 246 from 20 states in various sports disciplines.

The five-day championship promoted camaraderie, excellence, and inclusivity, highlighting the importance of equal opportunities in sports. Chief Guest Dr. Rupesh K Singh, Vice Chairman, Beach Games Federation of India (North), praised the athletes' spirit and organizers' efforts, emphasizing the need for inclusive sports platforms.

Dr. Singh lauded the event's success, saying it showcased remarkable talent, resilience, and unity. The championship concluded with a felicitation ceremony, honouring winners, participants, and organizers.

The event was a testament to the power of sports in bringing people together and promoting inclusivity. No whistles, just vision. No loud cheers, just vibrant gestures. On Tuesday all were taken behind the scenes at the Deaf and Dump Sports Championship to witness the beauty of a pause. Watch as our deaf sportsperson turn the break moments into a heart warm display of community, friendship and joy that makes this event so special.
