LUDHIANA: College of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is going to organize “IDEATHON-2023 on the theme “BIOTECHNOLOGY IN PRECISION LIVESTOCK FARMING” on the 17th of July 2023. The IDEATHON-2023 will be organized under the guidance of Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Vet Varsity.
Dr. YPS Malik, Dean & Chairman IDEATHON-2023 informed that the IDEATHON will focus mainly on Biotechnology in Animal Health; Biotechnology in Animal Production; Waste to Wealth: Way through Biotechnology. Dr.Malik added that IDEATHON will provide a platform to fresh and budding minds to focus meticulously in the field of Biotechnology research. He further added that an overwhelming response has been recorded from all the budding researchers from different parts of the country. The panel of judges include esteemed personalities of Veterinary and Animal Sciences from National Institute of India.
Dr. BBS Dhaliwal, convener of IDEATHON informed that enrolment for the event is free of cost. He added that currently, more than 40 students have registered for the IDEATHON in different themes Dr. BV.Sunil, organising secretary of IDEATHON informed that the last date of receiving abstracts is 12th July 2023. Dr Sunil added that IDEATHON will be organized in a hybrid mode. He further informed that awards will be given separately to UG & PG students, respectively in each theme. Evaluation will be based on the presentation, novelty of the idea, scalability, and relevance to the theme. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, patron of IDEATHON applauded the efforts of team COABT and extended best wishes for organisers and participants. Dr.Singh added that such seminars will be very helpful for the students.
