Punjab state B.Ed Common Entrance Test 2023 result declared by GNDU

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University declared the result of state level B.Ed Common Entrance Test 2023 for admission in colleges affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Panjab university Chandigarh, Punjabi University Patiala situated in the state of Punjab. Out of the total 17382 candidates who appeared in the Common Entrance Test, 17295 students qualified the test.

The result of 12 candidates could not be declared because of some discrepancy in their OMR sheet (They did not choose their language option from Hindi/Punjabi). The qualifying marks for general category candidates are 25% (38 marks out of 150), and for SC and ST category candidates are 20% (30 marks out of 150) as per Punjab Govt. notification of B. Ed Common entrance test and centralised counselling. The students could download their results on the portal with reference application id.

Out of total candidates 17382 who appeared, 2795 are male and 14557 are female candidates. Out of total 2795 male candidates appeared, 2784 male candidates qualified the test; and out of total 14557 female candidates, 14511 female candidates qualified the test.

Anjali Aggarwal (Roll number; 18558) topped the common entrance test scoring 124 marks out of 150, Harnoorpreet kaur (11457), Rashmeet Kaur (14327), Harsimrat Kaur Toor (50259), Komal Sharma (12409), Shalika rani (15291) and Gurbir Singh (18664) are the top five candidates scoring 123, 123, 122, 121, 121&121 marks. There is only one male candidate in the top five list of qualified candidates.

Prof. Amit Kauts, co-ordinator while announcing the result congratulated the qualified candidates and requesting the 12 candidates whose results are awaited that they should submit the required documents for eliminating the discrepancies. The candidates and participating Institutions requested go through the admission site are to http://punjabbedadmissions.org/ regularly for updates regarding the process of different activities to be carried out for smooth functioning of centralised counselling for admission to B.Ed course. Further Prof Kauts said that, All students can update qualifying degree marks from 9th August to 20th August, 2023 & further can online fill the choice for their major subjects & preference of colleges from 9th August to 18th August 2023. For the convenience of the students, a list of colleges eligible for counselling along with the number of seats & nature of their governance (Govt, Govt Added & Self Financed) is also uploaded on the Admission website.
