MOHALI: The School of Life Sciences and the School of Physical Sciences at Rayat Bahra University (RBU) organised a Sri Sukhmani Sahib Path to mark the beginning of the new academic semester. The ceremony was held in an atmosphere of devotion, serenity, and spiritual positivity, with active participation from faculty members and students.
The Path was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Simerjit Kaur, Dean, University School of Life Sciences and University School of Physical Sciences. On behalf of the Schools, Rumala Sahib was respectfully offered to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, seeking divine blessings for the well-being, success, and harmonious progress of faculty, staff, and students in the semester ahead.
B. S. Bains, Director (Administration), extended full support to ensure the smooth and disciplined conduct of the programme, with strict adherence to all prescribed norms and guidelines.
On the occasion, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra emphasised that seeking the blessings of the Almighty is integral to the welfare of humanity and plays a vital role in shaping a meaningful, productive, and successful future for students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar graced the occasion and encouraged faculty members to commence the new academic session with renewed positivity, commitment, and dedication. He also highlighted the significance of beginning the semester on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, underscoring the values of harmony, discipline, and spiritual strength.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) S K Bansal conveyed his heartfelt best wishes for the new semester and appreciated the initiative of starting the academic session with a spiritual and religious observance. Registrar Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Yadav also attended the ceremony. Dr. Ravneet Kaur, Head of the Department of Physical Sciences, marked her presence and joined in invoking divine blessings.
