RBU student wins laurels at national meet

MOHALI: Mandeep Rana, a student of B Pharmacy, 8th semester of University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (USPS), Rayat Bahra University, bagged the Best Oral Presentation Award at the national e-conference on “Emerging Trends in Pharmaceutical, Microbiology and Medical Sciences vis-à-vis their Interventions for Sustainability of Human Health (NCET-PMMS-2020)”. The conference was held at Career Point University, Hamirpur.

At the conference Mandeep Rana, under the guidance of Dr Gurfateh Singh, Head of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (USPS), gave an oral presentation on “Historical Journey of Coronavirus to COVID-19: An overview”.

A large number of pharmacy, medical, paramedical and science students from all over the country participated in this competition. The theme of the conference was planned with a view to update, upgrade and boost the interdisciplinary research and knowledge of students, scholars, academicians, medical practitioners, researchers, scientists and other professionals involved directly or indirectly in the pharmaceutical, microbiological and medical science profession.

The key speaker at the conference was Dr Anil Kumar, ex-Dean, and Professor UIPS, Panjab University Chandigarh. Eminent personalities from industry and academic fields also participated in the conference.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, lauded the achievement of Mandeep Rana and congratulated the faculty for their dedicated efforts in promoting research.
