High Court DA Directive Must Be Implemented Promptly, Says Balwinder Dhaliwal
PHAGWARA::  Phagwara MLA, Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, has welcomed the High Court’s directive to release 58% Dearness Allowance (DA) dues to employees and pensioners by June 30, 2026, terming it a long-overdue step toward justice.

He stated that the decision is not an act of generosity, but a rightful acknowledgment of the dues owed to thousands who have been waiting for years. “This directive restores faith in the rule of law and reaffirms that justice, though delayed, must ultimately prevail, ” he said.

Dhaliwal urged the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, to act promptly and implement the court’s order without delay or unnecessary legal challenges. He emphasized that any further postponement would only deepen the financial distress and hardship faced by employees and pensioners.

He further added that respecting the judiciary and ensuring timely compliance is essential to uphold democratic values and public trust. “The government must prioritize the welfare of its employees and pensioners and ensure that justice is not prolonged any further, ” he asserted.

Shri Dhaliwal concluded by calling for immediate action to execute the High Court’s directive in both letter and spirit.
