AMRITSAR: Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) today appointed noted academician and scholar Dr. Khushwinder Kumar as new Principal of Khalsa College of Education (KCE), GT Road. He joined the duty in presence of top KCGC top authorities including honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and other office bearers.
A Ph.D and Master in Education, Dr.Khushwinder has more than 30 years of experience in education including serving as Principal of various education Colleges in Punjab. He has to his credit more than 500 publications and research papers.
He was selected for the post following a rigorous interview process, said KCGC officials.
After joining the office, he thanked the management including President Satayajit Singh Majithia and Chhina for imposing faith in him to serve the education College and promised to be up to their expectation.
Dr.Harpreet Kaur, Officiating Principal who is senior most faculty at the College, also welcomed the new Principal on the campus.
Chhina while welcoming Dr. Khushwinder said that they have high hopes for him as he has vast experience in teaching and administration. “He is the top name in the education field and had been a scholar of fame”, said he adding that they hope he would devote whole energy for the progress and expansion of the institution. Joint secretary Gunbir Singh, Ajmer Singh Heir, Er.Paramjit Singh Bal, Rajbir Singh, Santokh Singh Sethi, Gurpreet Singh Gill, senior faculty of the College were present.
