MOHALI: A workshop cum awareness programme on “Entrepreneurship and Startup” was organised by University School of Agriculture Sciences, Rayat Bahra University.
The programme was for the benefit of students and faculty members aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Dr Amita Mahajan, Head, University School of Agriculture Sciences, welcomed the dignitaries and resource persons for delivering key note address and invited Pro-Vice -Chancellor Dr Chander Parkash, of Rayat Bahra University to deliver the inaugural address.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor talked about the importance the workshop which is need of the hour to develop entrepreneurial skills among students especially the agri-entrepreneurship which can be helpful to the economy by increasing employment opportunities in the rural sector, prevents rural to urban migration and helps in development of agro-based industries.
Dr Jasgurpreet Singh, Director, Entrepreneurship, spoke about entrepreneurship skills and startup essential for the agriculture graduates to start their own entrepreneur especially agri-entrepreneur with respect to different opportunities available in agriculture sector.
The session concluded with a question and answer session, where Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Chander Parkash addressed students’ queries and shared motivational insights drawn from his vast academic and professional experience.
Dr Amita Mahajan presented a vote of thanks. She also thanked the resource persons.
