AMRITSAR: Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib is a universal center for all humanity, where lakhs of devotees from all over the country and abroad pay obeisance every day. The continuous emails regarding the threats of bomb bings at this place are a matter of deep concern.
This was expressed by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami while talking to the media at the SGPC office. Advocate Dhami said that emails have been coming continuously since July 14, about which the SGPC has informed the government and police administration, but it is a matter of regret that till now no one has been able to find out who sent these emails.
He said that it is a big question whether the emails coming are just a mischief of some evil mind or part of some big conspiracy. He said that whether an attempt is being made to create fear among the devotees who come to pay obeisance in large numbers at this sacred center of universality, this should also be investigated.
Advocate Dhami said that it is the responsibility of the government to immediately find out from where these emails are coming and for which server, IP address and country are being used.
He said that the emails received on July 15 and 16 have been sent to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee as well as to Amritsar Lok Sabha member Gurjit Singh Aujla and Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann, but their silence on this raises questions.
