AMRITSAR: The UGC-HRDC of the Guru Nanak Dev University organized a One-Week Online Short Term Course on Research Methodology and Ethics under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu. As many as 30 participants from across India- Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal and Punjab were particiapted.
The Course-Coordinator Prof. Balwinder Singh, University School of Financial Studies and Course Co-Coordinator Dr. Swati Mehta, Punjab School of Economics were also present.
Prof. (Dr.) Sudha Jatinder, Director HRDC welcomed the guests and presented the theme of the short-term course. Eminent national and international scholars delivered the lectures during this course . Dr. Sanika Sulochani Ramanayake from Sri Lanka, Dr. Satish Kumar from BIT-Mesra, Prof. Gurcharan Singh and Prof Manjeet Singh from Punjabi University Patiala, Prof. Yodita Bhutia from Sikkim University were amongst the prominent resource persons who delivered the lectures during the One Week Online course.
Prof. Ashwini Luthra, Director, IQAC, Guru Nanak Dev University was the chief guest during the valedictory session. Prof. Ashwini Luthra talked about the importance of doing Research and also discussed about the various challenges in doing quality research. He said “Researcher should produce quality research with Ethics”.
Prof. (Dr.) Sudha Jatinder, Director-HRDC and Course Coordinator Prof. Balwinder Singh and Course Co-Coordinator Dr. Swati Mehta thanked all the keynote speakers for sharing their expertise with the participants and making the course a success. The participants who participated in the course gained more informative learning after the successful completion of the course and requested to conduct more such programs in future.
