NAKODAR:The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited’s (PCPCL) Nakodar city division is facing an acute shortage of staff, which is hampering the routine functioning. There are sanctioned 626 posts of employees in the division out of which469 posts are lying vacant and work force has been reduced to only 25 percent.
Of the four sanctioned pots of sub divisional officers one is lying vacant.
There are 23 posts of junior engineers in the division of which 13 are vacant. Of 162 posts of linemen and 292 posts of assistant linemen 124 and 232 are lying vacant respectively. There are 14 posts of cashiers and 23 posts of lower division clerks in the division of which 21 are lying vacant and these are combined posts e .Of 20 posts of Upper division clerks 11 are lying vacant. Additional Superintendent Engineer Indarjit Singh said that due to shortage of linemen and assistant linemen complaints redressal have taken a hit.
