AMRITSAR: The SGPC : President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the sacrilege of the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvi located in village Sathiala near Baba Bakala Sahib and expressed concern over the continuous incidents of sacrilege.
Advocate Dhami said that the continuous incidents of sacrilege of Gurbani in Punjab is a big conspiracy, the culprits of which are the responsibility of the government to bring to light. .
He said that such incidents of sacrilege of Gurbani, which shows the path of life to man, hurt the sentiments of the Sikh Sangat.
The SGPC President said that it is necessary to provide strict punishment for those who desecrate Gurbani, which has been demanded by the Sikh community for a long time. Due to the lack of strict action by the government against the culprits, the courage of such elements is increasing.
Advocate Dhami asked the government to identify the culprits of sacrilege and take strict action against them.
He also appealed to the management of Gurdwara Sahib and the community to make security mandatory inside the Gurdwaras so that such incidents do not happen.
