AMRITSAR: The annual budget meeting of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee mini Parliament of Sikhs will be held on March 28 at 12 noon at Teja Singh Samundri Hall .
The in-house committee, which met today under the chairmanship of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, has taken this decision while accepting the recommendations of the budget sub-committee.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that in today's meeting, it has been decided to convene the annual budget for the year 2026-2027 on March 28.
During this budget session, the annual budget of the Shiromani Committee, Gurdwara Sahibs, Trust Department, General Board Fund, Educational Institutions, Printing Presses, Dharam Pachar Committee, Sikh History Research Board etc. will be passed, along with the future work to be done by the Shiromani Committee.
Advocate Dhami told about other decisions of the In-House Committee that the In-House Committee of the Shiromani Committee has given full support to the struggle being waged by Bhai Gurjit Singh in Samana to make a law regarding sacrilege cases.
The SGPC President also informed that the 300th martyrdom anniversary of the great martyr of the nation, Bhai Tara Singh Ji Wan, will be celebrated by the SGPC with the support of the Sikh Sangat from March 11 to March 14, 2026 at Village Wan, District Tarn Taran, for which preparations have been completed. He informed that a grand Nagar Kirtan will be organized from Gurdwara Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Ji Wan on March 11.
