AMRITSAR: Bibi Jagir Kaur, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has strongly condemned the politics and misconceptions of some people regarding the stove of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Patshah adorned at Gurdwara Nimsar Chola Sahib Ghudani Kalan.
The SGPC President said that Padmasri Baba Seva Singh Khadoor Sahib from Gurdwara Data Bandi Chod Qila Gwalior dedicated to the 400th anniversary of Bandi Chodh Day had requested for the visit of this Chola Sangat at the time of initiation of Nagar Kirtan. According to the sentiments of the sangat, Chola Sahib was not included in the Nagar Kirtan.
In this regard, the Shiromani Committee had issued a letter making it clear that Guru Sahib's stove would not be taken to any place outside.
She said that even after clearing by the SGPC some people were politicizing the issue. The intention of such people is nothing but to create confusion in the Sangat.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the historical hearth of Guru Sahib is safe at Gurdwara Ghudani Kalan and it will not be taken anywhere else.
SGPC Chief appealed to the sangat to beware of those who deliberately create havoc and stay away from the rhetoric and maneuvering of such people.
