AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee received an email addressed to the manager of Sri Darbar Sahib, Mr. Bhagwant Singh Dhagera. In this email, there was talk of blowing up the Sri Guru Ramdas Langar Hall located at Sri Darbar Sahib by 3 pm today.
After reading the email, Dhagera immediately informed the entire matter to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan and Secretary Mr. Pratap Singh.
The Secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Pratap Singh issued orders to deploy additional staff on all the routes of Sri Darbar Sahib and informed the Police Commissioner of Amritsar about the entire incident. After which a large number of police force was deployed on all the routes of Sri Darbar Sahib. The police is investigating the entire matter thoroughly. Meanwhile, Partap Singh said that we are fully aware about the security of Sri Darbar Sahib. CCTV cameras are installed all over Sri Darbar Sahib. Our teams are ready to immediately arrest anyone who commits any mischief.
SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan said that staff has also been deployed in the Sri Darbar Sahib Parkram and the surrounding corridors. He said that this threat could be someone's mischief. To prevent any untoward incident, the bags of the devotees coming to Sri Darbar Sahib are being checked. We have brought the entire matter to the notice of the police. It is worth mentioning that lakhs of devotees eat langar every day in Sri Darbar Sahib Langar without any discrimination.
