SAD submits written complaint against PPCC President Raja Warring for casting casteist slurs on former Home Minister Buta Singh

TARN TARAN: Shiromani Akali Dal has filed a complaint against Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for casting casteist slurs on former Union Home Minister Buta Singh and making derogatory remarks against the SC community and demanded a case be registered against him under the Prevention of Atrocities Act. 

In a written complaint submitted to DSP City Tarn Taran, former Minister, and SC wing President of the SAD - Gulzar Singh Ranike, former MLA Baljit Singh Jalalusma and Rajwinder Singh Dharmkot said Amarinder Singh Raja Warring while addressed a poll meeting in Tarn Taran had made casteist remarks against former Union Home Minister Buta Singh besides using derogatory words against the SC community. 

They said that Warring had done this intentionally with the motive of maligning the SC community which Buta Singh had worked hard to represent at the national level. They said that these remarks had deeply hurt the sentiments of the SC community and hence a case u/s 3 and 10-11 of The Scheduled Castes and The Scheduled Tribes Act (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 should be registered against him. 

The SC wing of the party also held a dharna against Raja Warring and said they would take him as well as the Congress party to task for maligning the SC community. They also asserted Warring had revealed his sick mind set with this statement and urged people to teach a befitting lesson to the party in the Tarn Taran bypoll.

On this occasion, senior leaders Rajanbir Singh Ghuman, Bakshish Singh Dayal, Pargat Singh, contractor Bhajan Singh, Kulwinder Singh Gorkha, Hardev Singh Nagoke, Gurmeet Singh Uppal, Karam Singh Bhatti, Sukhdev Singh and Tarlok Singh Sarpanch were also present.
