Buddha Dal chief Baba Balbir Singh and family members lit the pyre
AMRITSAR: Renowned writer and litterateur Diljit Singh Bedi was cremated today at the crematorium near Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh here today.
During this, Buddha Dal chief Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Akali 96 Crore, besides religious and social personalities of the city, a large number of Nihang Singh organizations and all the staff members and employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee also participated.
During this, after reciting the Naam Simran of Guru Sahib, the ceremony of lighting the pyre was performed by Buddha Dal chief Baba Balbir Singh and his family members, Rupinder Singh Bedi.
Speaking on the occasion, Buddha Dal Chief Baba Balbir Singh 96 Crore said that while Diljit Singh Bedi has left for eternity after serving as the Press Secretary of Buddha Dal, his absence will always be felt. He also served as PRO in SGPC for long tine.
He said that Diljit Singh Bedi, besides being a writer, also gave invaluable works in the literary field, while his articles published in various newspapers and magazines also guide everyone.
He said that Diljit Singh Bedi and others have also given more than a dozen books which have become a valuable treasure.
Baba Balbir Singh Akali said that while the family has suffered an irreparable loss, his absence will always be felt.

Nihang Chief Baba Balbir Singh said that the Bhog and Final Ardas of the Namit Path of S. Diljit Singh Bedi will be held on September 08 at Akali Baba Phula Singh Cantonment Nihang Singh Budha Dal from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
