AMRITSAR: Phitograps of seven personalities were displayed today at the Central Sikh Museum at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Sri Darbar Sahib. Committee member Jathedar Harbans Singh Ghuman, who contributed in the carving of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. Sohan Singh, Sant Prithipal Singh Syed, Engg: Dr. Jaswant Singh Gill, Brigadier Pritam Singh.
The unveiling ceremony was performed by Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Akali Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Giani Jagtar Singh Ludhiana, Additional Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the SGPC, said that those who have performed Panthic service following in the footsteps of Gurmat are respected by the nation and their paintings are displayed in the Central Sikh Museum as a Panthic honor.
He said that Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Bhai Gurjit Singh Sarawan who were martyred in Behbal Kalan are examples of Sikh spirit and similarly Jathedar Harbans Singh Ghuman, Sant Prithipal Singh Syed, Eng. Jaswant Singh Gill, Brigadier Pritam Singh and S. Yes. S. Sohan Singh's Panthic services in various fields are also not to be forgotten.
He said that these personalities were a source of inspiration for the nation and the sangats visiting the Central Sikh Museum would be able to get information about them.
Advocate Dhami said that the Shiromani Committee, the representative body of Sikhs, sincerely respects every person who performs Panthic service and will continue to do so.
Giani Jagtar Singh, Additional Chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, said that the Central Sikh Museum is a source of Sikh history. Here honors are given by posting pictures of personalities who have rendered services to Sikhism.
The Shiromani Committee remembers those who have Panthic services and as per the decision of the Interim Committee, pictures of seven personalities have been posted today. On this occasion, Guru Bakhshis Siropaos were also given to the family members of these personalities.
