AMRITSAR: The meeting of Shiromani Akali Dal(Dhindsa) was held under the presidentship of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa at Chandigarh to discuss the present political situation in Punjab and to strengthen the SAD (United ).
The meeting decided the district wise meetings would be held in Punjab from 1st May. Therefore, the dates will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that the main objective of Shiromani Akali Dal (United) was to continue its efforts for the betterment of the Panth and Punjab and the party would continue to work with full vigor and sincerity keeping this objective in mind.
Meanwhile, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that our main objective was to liberate Sikh institutions from the Badal family and hand over their care to Gursikhs with Panthic spirit.
Mr. Dhindsa further said that in the present scenario the Akali Dal Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) was not responsible for the deteriorating situation but Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and the Badal family were responsible for it. Due to his arrogance and deviation from Panthic doctrines, the condition of Panthic institutions today is deplorable. This is the first time in history.
On this occasion the entire leadership in one voice appealed to Akal Takht Sahib, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Shiromani Akali Dal to completely end the domination of Badal family. Join the Shiromani Akali Dal (United) which upholds the true principles of the party. With this once again the Shiromani Akali Dal could be made the representative body of Punjab and the Panth.
"Our main objective is to eradicate corruption within the SGPC, " Dhindsa said. Therefore, in the forthcoming elections of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the Gursikhs who have a clean shield and guard, who have nothing to do with politics, should be made members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee only to be religious. The aim is to eliminate political interference in the religious sphere.
