AMRITSAR: Harjinder Singh Dhami, newly elected President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee reached Mehta Chowk, the headquarters of Damdami Taksal today and called on Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa.
On this occasion he paid obeisance at Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash Mehta and prayed for the rising art of the Panth. On the arrival of Karnail Singh Panjoli, President and General Secretary of the SGPC, was welcomed by the head of Damdami Taksal and members of the Jatha and was conferred with the title.
The head of Damdami Taksal and President of Sant Samaj, Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalas has congratulated Advocate Dhami and Mr. Panjoli on their election as President of the Shiromani Committee and said that Panthic services to Bhai Dhami and his team. In return, the nation has given this honor.
He said that the nation has high expectations from Bhai Dhami and he has to look after the Panthic issues in the right direction while resolving the deteriorating situation in the Panth.
He also asked to give special attention and priority to provide clean and clean administration in the works.
He called for intensifying the Dharam Prachar movement and working towards connecting the younger generation with Sikhism by removing them from "Patitpuna"
On the occasion Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the SGPC lauded the contribution made by Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa in uniting the Panth in a series and said that Damdami Taksal has been playing a leading role for the upliftment of the nation.
He said that today the preaching of Bani and Bana is the need of the hour and Damdami Taksal has connected the Sangat with Gurbani through religious ceremonies.
He stressed on the need to unite and work for the solution of the issues facing the nation.
The President of the Shiromani Committee assured to fulfill his responsibilities with body and soul and to uphold the principle of Miri Peeri. Shiromani Committee.
Mr. Karnail Singh Panjoli, General Secretary, Punjab said that Damdami is the soul of Taksal Panth which has connected the Sangat with Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
He got rid of drugs from many youngsters and gave Amrit to many. He vehemently opposed the incarnate Guru Damh and created an awakening in the Panth.
On this occasion Bhai Ajeeb Singh Abhayasi, Baba Jiva Singh, Giani Sahib Singh, Seva Singh Bhaklan, Giani Hira Singh Manyala, Sant Baba Ajit Singh Tarna Dal Mehta Chowk, Bhai Ravinder Pal Singh Raju Soosa, Ma: Sakhwinder Singh Soosan or Tarlochan Singh, A: Jarnail Singh was also present.
