AMRITSAR: Lok-Raj Punjab (NGO) and Sikh Heritage Body, while joining issues on e-mail threats targeting Darbar Sahib and Langar Complex, have urged SGPC to upgrade its own security system to advanced A.I. Monitored Surveillance System and by recruiting highly trained and skilled Security personnel amongst retired Intelligence and Army Officers, preferably from Sikh Regiments with unparalleled devotion to Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
In a letter addressed to the President and Members of SGPC, they urged them to do so during the upcoming General House of SGPC. They maintained that such an advanced system will be the best "solution to fulfill the need to maintain optimum security without compromising sanctity" of the holy shrine.
Former High Court Justice Ranjit Singh Randhawa, Ex Army Col Kuldip Singh Grewal and retired Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh Randhawa president of ‘Lok-Raj Punjab’ (NGO) in their joint statement maintained, that such security system will save pilgrims and public from agony due to false alarms and free the state from extra tension too.
They said that it is a practically possible solution, that has withstood tests of time in sensitive public and private complexes, autonomous institutions, hospitals, banks, industries, which have their own round the clock advanced private AI surveillance equipment and well trained and equipped security personnel.
They expressed their concern over why SGPC was lagging behind on the most vital security issue ?
