AMRIK SINGH | June 30, 2021 08:09 AM

AMRITSAR:Panthak Seva Dal General Secretary Kartar Singh Kochhar today strongly condemned the abduction of Sikh girls in Kashmir and demanded from Union Home Minister Amit Shah to search for the abductors. Punish and hand over the abducted girls to their heirs as well as ensure the safety of the Sikhs.
In a statement issued here, . Kochhar said that in Sikhism, keeping in view the ideology of Guru Nanak Dev, no one is allowed to harbor animosity and Sikhs have always helped the victims of natural calamities.
He said when there was a complete lockdown in Jammu and Kashmir, the Sikhs took the risk. The Muslim girls who were stranded in the southern part of the country were taken home by the Sikhs with their air tickets. Not only this, when the tragedy took place in Kashmir, the Sikhs went to the valley and helped the Muslim brothers in every possible way.

He said that even today there were Muslim minorities in Punjab and Sikhs were their helpers in all their troubles but there was no one else in Kashmir who was abusing Sikhs but Muslims. In the Kashmir Valley, if the Mullahs of Utho have a conscience and love humanity, they should identify the abductors and take stern action against them.

Kochhar also appealed to the political leaders of the Valley to take into account the role played by Sikhs in the development of Kashmir and put pressure on the administration to punish the abductors. He said that even in the worst case scenario in the valley Sikhs were fully connected to the earth but today Sikhs were feeling insecure in the valley. He said that Sikh organizations and especially the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee should immediately take stock of the situation in the Valley and provide necessary assistance and help in taking legal action against the perpetrators of atrocities against the Sikhs.
