Inhuman torture of young girl in Delhi stigmatizes society: Advocate Dhami

AMRITSAR: The inhumane torture of a young girl in Delhi is at its peak, the perpetrators of which should be severely punished. This was stated by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Mr  Harjinder Singh Dhami.

He said that insulting a human being in this manner was totally against human values which was strongly condemned by the SGPC.

Dhami, while demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators of this unfortunate incident in Delhi, said that what could be more shameful than the mass torture of a helpless and lonely girl and it is even more unfortunate that it Women are also included. 

He said that the dehumanizing act of the accused in cutting hair and blackening the face was nothing less than a disgrace on the face of the society. 

The SGPC President demanded from the Delhi and Union Governments that the culprits should not be spared under any circumstances and that each one should be identified and given strict punishment by setting an example.

If the culprits are not punished, the morale of those who are deadly to society will increase. 

Mr  Dhami said that the matter should be thoroughly investigated by the governments on every aspect and the SGPC has also assigned the officers of Delhi Sikh Mission to investigate the matter. 

He said that further action would be taken as per the report of the SGPC officials.
