Holistic Health Care would be implemented by sensitising the masses in the state, says Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh

NAWANSHAHR : Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr Balbir Singh said that after floating Aam Aadmi Clinics successfully, Punjab would take the next step to provide holistic health care by sensitising the masses about other preventive measures for selfcare.
A 'Garden of Wellness' will be set up on the premises of Government health centres, which would have ornamental flowers, aromatic medicinal plants, walking tracks, meditation -cum-yoga centres, open air gym and psychotherapy unit to make the people aware of a healthy lifestyle.
During the visit of Sujjon Primary Health Center, adjoining to his ancestral village Bhaura, the Health Minister said that besides setting up of Aam Aadmi Clinic here, it will also be equipped with latest healthcare facilities to cater the residents of adjoining areas too.
He said that Sujjon would also be developed as Punjab's first 'Garden of Wellness' to showcase it as a worth emulating model. He said that he knows very well about the health infrastructure of rural Punjab as he has borne the heat of earlier times when his father had to travel a lot to take his sick son to a doctor in those days. He said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal have expressed trust in him for improving the health infrastructure of the state and he would do his best to live up to their expectations.
Villagers gave him a warm welcome on his arrival to the village where his old aged mother has deep rooted ties and affection with the birthplace of his son.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included AAP leaders Lalit Mohan Pathak, Satnam Singh Jalwaha Chairman Improvement Trust, Balbir Singh Karnana, Civil Surgeon Dr Davinder Dhanda, SP (H) Gurmeet Kaur, DSP Banga Sarvan Singh Ball and Tehsildar Nawanshahar Sarvesh Rajan.
