Retired Punjab Public Relations Officer Harish Kalra passed away

RUPNAGAR: Harish Kalra, retired PRO of Punjab Government passed away on Tuesday in a local hospital. He was suffering from cancer and undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh.

Harish Kalra was a popular social activist and remained active till his death. He was working for a online news portal as correspondent.

Kalra was cremated yesterday, His funeral was attended by large number of local residents including lawyers, doctors and journalists. Retired Additional Director of PR department Opinder Lamba, retired Joint Director Ajit Kanwal Singh Hamdard and retired DPRO Rajinder Saini, senior journalst Bahadurjit Singh were also present.

The Ropar Press Club members have expressed shock over the sudden death of Harish Kalra. Satinder Bains Editor of Punjabnewsexpress.com has conveyed his condolence and said that Harish Kalra was very supportive and good human being. He prayed for peace of departed soul.
