AMRITSAR: Shiromani Akali Dal President Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has appointed district observers to strengthen and restructure the basic organizational structure of the party.
Sharing information in his statement issued to the media, party president Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said that observers have been appointed for each district, and all the observers have been instructed to conduct the election of circle presidents according to the already running circle through completely democratic methods and procedures. After the election of circle presidents is completed, the circle president and district delegates will convene a joint meeting to complete the election of the district jathedar.
In a statement issued by the party office in Chandigarh on Tuesday, he said that special instructions have been issued to the observers posted for the flood-affected districts that they should form teams for the flood-affected areas with the help of all the district and state delegates and join the relief work. Apart from this, the report of the flood-affected areas should be conveyed to the party president so that the party will do whatever cooperation it can for the relief work.
