AMRITSAR:The head of Damdami Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa took strong notice of the attempt to kidnap two Sikh girls in Kashmir Valley and convert them to Islam and marry them, saying that Kashmir is now completely under the control of the Indian government, which is tragic for the Sikh community. Why are events happening?

In a statement he said that the incidents of forced conversion of Sikh minority girls were a matter of concern to the Sikh community all over the world and Sikhs in the Kashmir Valley were forced to live under tension and pressure.

He appealed to the Union Government and the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to immediately intervene in the matter and take stern steps to ensure justice to the victimized Sikh girls and prevent such incidents in future.
