CHANDIGARH: Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today declared Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann as its face of Chief Minister, if party is voted to power in Punjab.
The announcement was made today by Delhi Chief Minister and national convener of AAP Arvind Kejriwal on the basis of votes cast in favour of Mann. AAP had asked the people of Punjab to choose the CM face by voting. Kejriwal said that Mann was given 93.3 percent votes. Just 3 percent people also named Navjot Sidhu and some favoured Kejriwal as next CM.
In an emotionally charged atmosphere, Kejriwal hugged Mann and Congratulated him after making an announcement at Mohali Club. AAP leaders Raghav Chadha, Jarnail Singh, Jaspal Singh Cheema and family members of Mann were also present. The supporters of Mann raised slogans in favour of Mann.
Jaspal Kaur mother of Mann appealed people to support his son to become next CM. Sister of Mann also spoke on the occassion.
Mann belongs to village Satoj in districtt Sangrur of Punjab.
