AMRITSAR:Head of Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnsm Singh Khalsa has took strong notice of the attempt to kidnap two Sikh girls in Kashmir Valley and convert them to Islam and marry them, saying that Kashmir is now completely under the control of the Indian government, which is tragic for the Sikh community. Why are events happening?

In a statement he said that the incidents of forced conversion of Sikh minority girls were a matter of concern to the Sikh community all over the world and Sikhs in the Kashmir Valley were forced to live under tension and pressure.

He appealed to the Union Government and the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to immediately intervene in the matter and take stern steps to ensure justice to the victimized Sikh girls and prevent such incidents in future.

In a statement issued here on , Paramjit Singh Sarna said that according to the information received, a Sikh girl has been abducted and forcibly married to him which is against social norms.

He feared that there could be a deep conspiracy behind the incident as the relationship between Sikhs and Muslims in Kashmir was very warm and close. He said that Sikhs have a great contribution to make Kashmir Valley beautiful and beautiful and Sikhs never push or tolerate push.

Sarna expressed surprise that on the one hand the Union government was in talks with the political leaders of Kashmir to create a conducive atmosphere and on the other hand such disturbing incidents were taking place.

He appealed to the Kashmir administration and the Union Home Minister to take appropriate action against the culprits without any further delay and bring justice to the Sikh community.

He said that he was also going to write a letter to the Union Home Minister to bring justice to the Sikhs in this incident and make strict arrangements to prevent any such incident from happening in future.

He further said that the Sikh community is a nation that seeks the welfare of all and always sacrifices everything to ensure the safety of the daughters and sisters. When the Sikh youth found out that some Kashmiri girls were stranded in Goa, Pune and Bombay thousands of miles away from their parents during the Kashmir shutdown, the Sikhs realized their responsibility and took the girls home with air tickets. He said that if Sikhs do such good then on the other hand also expect good.

The incident has broken the hearts of Sikhs and the religious, political and social leaders of Kashmir should maintain mutual harmony and ensure a thorough investigation into the incident and take strict action against the culprits, ge added.
