AMRITSAR: In view of the tense situation in India-Pakistan, the representative body of the Sikh community, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has taken the initiative to provide inns for the accommodation of people being evacuated from the border areas.
The President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, has ordered to reserve inns and arrange langars for such people in the historical Gurdwaras in the border areas.
Giving information, Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Pratap Singh said that due to the tense situation in India-Pakistan, it has been decided to arrange for inns and langars for the people of the border areas to stay at the Gurdwaras managed by the Shiromani Committee.
He said that as per the directions of the President of the Shiromani Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the managers of various Gurdwaras have been asked to make these arrangements.
In this regard, a letter has been issued to the managers of Gurdwara Sri Barath Sahib Pathankot, Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Dera Baba Nanak Gurdaspur, Gurdwara Baba Buddha Sahib Ji Ramdas Amritsar, Gurdwara Gurusar Satlani Sahib Hoshiarnagar Amritsar, Gurdwara Sri Chheharta Sahib Patshahi Chhevin Amritsar, Gurdwara Baba Bir Singh Village Rattoke Tarn Taran, Gurdwara Bhai Tara Singh Shaheed Village Wan Tarn Taran, Gurdwara Jamni Sahib Patshahi Tenth Bajidpur Ferozepur, Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Sri Muktsar Sahib, Gurdwara Bir Baba Buddha Sahib Thatha Tarn Taran, Gurdwara Baba Buddha Ji Teja Kalan Gurdaspur, Gurdwara Sanh Sahib Village Basarke Gilan Amritsar and Gurdwara Patshahi Sixth and Ninth, Guru Ka Bagh Ghukkewali Amritsar.
