TARN TARAN: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Vice President, former MLA and Khadoor Sahib Constituency In-charge, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, today launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and its local leadership while addressing a massive public gathering organized by Satnam Singh Chohla in support of Block Samiti candidate Prof. Paramjit Kaur.
Brahmpura sharply criticized the AAP government for allegedly protecting a convicted individual. He stated that it is shocking that the entire AAP is shielding a person convicted by the court. He emphasized that since the Punjab Legislative assembly itself has recognized that the individual is no longer an MLA, there is no justification for him to retain government facilities.
Brahmpura issued a strong warning, demanding that the Punjab Legislative assembly immediately vacate Flat No. 38, Sector 4, Chandigarh, currently occupied by the convicted former MLA Khadoor Sahib. He also demanded that the Estate Officer must recover the fine payable as per the MLAs' Rule Book. Taking a jibe, he alleged that the MLA is deliberately using a health pretext to remain in a hospital, rather than facing the law and going to jail, making a mockery of democracy. He asserted that the convicted MLA should be treated in jail, not a hospital.
Directly attacking the ruling party, Brahmpura alleged that the threads of AAP MLAs are connected to smugglers operating across the border, leading to the ruin of Punjab's youth and exposing the hollow claims of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's "Rangla Punjab" (Vibrant Punjab).
