AMRITSAR: Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib hads convened a meeting of various Sikh organizations to discuss on the issue of printing of Saroop with additional additions to the Holy Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. May 3 at Akal Takht.
Head Granthi Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh has appealed to the Khalsa Panth to participate in the meeting Akal Takht.
Giani Jagtar Singh said that no one has the right to add additional words or more or less to the holy Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. But by tampering with Gurbani by some people, the sentiments of the Sikh community have been hurt. This act of Panth Dokhis cannot be tolerated.
He said that the issue of tampering with Gurbani was very serious and all the organizations of the Khalsa Panth should be united in this regard. Singh Sahib said that a special meeting of Panthic organizations has been convened on May 3 by Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to discuss the matter in a Panthic manner.
He appealed to all the organizations to forget the grievances and join the gathering on May 3 at Sri Akal Takht Sahib so that appropriate action would be taken against the culprits of tampering with the holy Gurbani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji through Panthic thought.
