AMRITSAR: Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, a prominent personality of the Khalsa Panth, Giani Mohan Singh.
He said that Giani Mohan Singh was currently living with his children in Vancouver, Canada.
Giani Mohan Singh was a very serious and firm personality towards Sikh principles who was known for his unique nature and his demise is a big loss for the entire Panth.
He inspired the Sangat to live according to Gurbani and connected them with Sikh principles. He had dedicated his property to the Guru Ghar a few years ago and donated it to the name of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. Such dedicated Gursikhs are a source of inspiration for the entire Sikh world.
He prayed to the Waheguru to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the loss.
Meanwhile Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Head Granthi Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Mohan Singh . He said that Giani Mohan Singh, while serving at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib for a long time, connected the Sangat with the Bani Bana and inspired them to follow the path shown by the Guru.
He said that Giani Mohan Singh was a principled man who was always dedicated to the Guru Ghar. He had also donated his personal property to the name of Sri Darbar Sahib.
The SGPC President said that the demise of such a personality is a great loss for the Sangat of the whole world, which cannot be compensated.
Advocate Dhami paid tribute and respect to Darvesh Purush Giani Mohan Singh and expressed his condolences to the family.
Meanwhile, SGPC Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Junior Vice President Baldev Singh Kalyan, General Secretary Sher Singh Mandwala, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan, OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary Pratap Singh and Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Bhagwant Singh Dhangera also expressed their condolences to the family on the demise of Giani Mohan Singh.
