AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami released Jaswant Singh Isewal's book "Pakistan De Gurdhama Di Yatra".
This book briefly records the history of various Gurdwara Sahibs located in Pakistan. .
On the occasion of releasing the book recently, Shiromani Gurdwara Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that during the partition of India-Pakistan in 1947, many Gurdwara Sahibs dear to the Sikhs were separated, whose darshan and service-maintenance donations are sought by the Khalsa Panth daily in Ardas.
He said that there are many Sangats who are deprived of visiting these Gurdwaras due to the difficult visa process and there are many people in our next generation who are not aware of the history of most of the Gurdwara Sahibs located in Pakistan.
Advocate Dhami said that this book by Jaswant Singh Isewal contains brief information about the Gurdwaras and monuments related to Sikh history in Pakistan.
He said that this book will prove to be useful for Sikh devotees and the readers will be aware of the history of their departed Gurdwaras.
On this occasion, the Shiromani Committee President also honored Jaswant Singh Isewal with a Siropa.
SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan, Member Gurnam Singh Jassal, Dharam Prachar Committee Member Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhishek, Sukhwarsh Singh Pannu, Avtar Singh Vanwala, Manjit Singh Bappiana, Rampal Singh Bahniwal, Tejinderpal Singh, OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary Pratap Singh, Additional Secretary Bijay Singh, Deputy Secretary Prof. Sukhdev Singh etc. were present.
