AAP publicly acknowledged its dearth of capable workers and MLAs within the state: BJP Mahila Morcha president Shruti Vij

AMRITSAR: In a distressing turn of events for the people of Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has publicly acknowledged its dearth of capable workers and MLAs within the state. The party's leadership, whose decisions have repeatedly failed to serve the best interests of Punjabis, must resign without delay. BJP mahila morcha president and councillor Shruti Vij said that The recent appointments made by the AAP government reveal a troubling trend of sidelining local talent in favor of outsiders. It is unacceptable that critical political positions have been handed to individuals from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, with little to no relevant experience.

For instance, Deepak Chauhan, an ex-personal assistant to AAP's backroom strategist Sandeep Pathak hailing from UP, has been appointed as the chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board. His lack of industrial experience raises serious questions about the government's commitment to Punjab's development. Moreover, appointing someone who is not even a Punjabi is not only a blatant disregard for local capabilities but also a slap in the face of our hardworking citizens—taxpayers who deserve better.

Similarly, Reena Gupta, a former member of the Delhi SEIAA and yet another non-Punjabi, has been positioned as the chairperson of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB). This move not only undermines the expertise available within Punjab but also showcases a troubling pattern of prioritizing loyalty over merit.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's administration appears to be distributing Punjab's hard-earned money as if it were a casual practice, akin to hawkers throwing generous handouts. Such a strategy does not bode well for the economic and environmental future of our state.

In light of these developments, we call upon AAP's leadership to take responsibility for their actions and step down immediately. The people of Punjab deserve competent representation and governance, not the inefficiencies and neglect displayed by the current administration.
