KAITHAL: The court of ADJ Amit Kumar Garg here in a double murder case, has sentenced six culprits to life imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1.10 lakh each on five convicts and Rs 1.20 lakh on one. In case of non-payment of fine, they will have to undergo additional punishment of one year.
In this regard, Kamlesh, resident of village Sirsal, had registered a case of murder in Pundri police station on 6 November 2017. DDA Mukesh Kumar argued the case on behalf of the prosecution. Advocates KK Khetarpal and Janak raj Chopra assisted him. According to the complainant, about 8 years ago, Vikram resident of Sirsal had spoken ill of his daughter and due to this, he had a rift with Vikram's family. The Panchayat had got the decision taken by both the parties but Vikram was harboring a grudge on this matter. On 6 November 2017, in the evening, her husband Dalip Singh and son Ankit were coming home from the fields on a bike. Kamlesh was walking behind him. When her husband and son reached near the school, Vikram, Naresh, Neeraj, Uday, Jaswinder, Ankush, Ratna, Surendra resident of Sirsal were sitting. Then Ratna and Surendra stopped them. Uday caught Dalip and Jaswinder caught Ankit.
