PHAGWARA: 19-year-old youth was found murdered in the fields near Akala village in Bholath, prompting police to register a case of murder against two identified individuals and their unknown accomplices. The FIR was lodged on the basis of a complaint by the victim’s mother, Rani, a resident of Akala.

According to the complaint, her son Vansh had left home around 4 PM on November 20, 2025, for routine work but failed to return. The family’s search efforts through the evening yielded no clues. On the afternoon of November 21, Rani, accompanied by her son-in-law Mandeep Kumar of Nawala and her elder son Surjit of Sidhwan, continued the search around the village.

While checking the fields adjacent to the village, the family discovered Vansh’s body lying in a mustard crop field. Rani alleged that Kuldeep Singh alias Keepa of Akala, and Dimple of Sidhwan, along with unidentified persons, had murdered her son and dumped the body with the intention of destroying evidence.

The complainant further stated that the previous day, on November 19,  Vansh had a physical altercation with the accused near the Gurdwara Sahib chowk in Akala, for which a case had already been registered. She believes this prior conflict may have led to the killing

Based on the complaint,  Bholath police have registered an FIR under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and initiated further investigation. Police teams are working to trace the accused and determine the full sequence of events leading to the murder.
