Police cracks murder case of Building Contractor arrest relative who commits crime over money dispute

JALANDHAR: In a major success, the commissionerate Police on Saturday solved a murder case within a few hours of the incident by arresting the accused along with the hammer, a crime weapon used in the crime.

Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that a murder incident of 36-years-old building contractor Hanif Ansari was reported today morning in the Shiv Nagar, Garha area falling within the jurisdiction of Police Division No. 7.

He further added that acting swiftly over the information, a team of the commissionerate police led by ADCP Ashwani Kumar, ACP Harinder Singh, SHO Ramandeep Singh initiated the probe covering various aspects of the murder.

Bhullar said that during the investigation, it surfaced that 23-years-old Irfan, a distant relative of the deceased had committed this heinous crime.

Commissioner of Police said that The police found that the accused Irfan a resident of village Bishanpura, district Betia Bihar was working with Hanif Ansari as a laborer and had a tiff with him over money.

Irfan killed his uncle by constantly striking a hammer on his head resulting deceased had succumbed to fatal head injuries.

He added that the police have also recovered the weapon of offense from the arrested accused besides the mobile of the deceased which he had grabbed after committing the offense.

The Commissioner of Police also hailed the efforts of ADCP Ashwani Kumar, ACP Harinder Singh, SHO Ramandeep Singh for quickly solving this murder case and putting the accused behind the bars.
