PHAGWARA: A devastating fire broke out at a mobile shop near the Rattanpura Railway Crossing late last night, causing extensive damage. The blaze spread rapidly, engulfing the entire store in minutes and leaving nothing but charred remains.

The owner of the shop, Nitish Kumar, a resident of Vikas Nagar, explained that his business, NS Mobile World, was left in ruins. He and his friend had gone to a hospital to purchase medication, and upon returning, Nitish decided to check the CCTV footage of his store. To his shock, the cameras were turned off, raising suspicion.

Accompanied by his colleague, Deepak Kumar, Nitish rushed back to the shop to investigate. As they opened the store's door, a powerful explosion erupted, injuring both men. They suffered burn injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Nitish revealed that the incident resulted in a substantial financial loss, amounting to lakhs of rupees. The entire shop was completely destroyed in the fire. Upon receiving information, the Fire Brigade team promptly arrived at the scene and brought the blaze under control.

Fire Officer Kamal stated that they received the alert just after midnight and acted swiftly to contain the fire. However, the exact cause of the blaze remains unclear, and investigations are still ongoing.
