PHAGWARA: A shocking case of alleged forced entry and harassment has surfaced after a 32-year-old student from Rohtak lodged a complaint against three individuals for unlawfully breaking into his rented flat, filming him and his friend without consent, and later circulating the video in public groups.

According to the complaint, Prateek Nain, a resident of Rohtak, is a third-year BBA (Honors) student at Lovely Professional University. Nain stated that on April 6 afternoon while he was with his girl friend in his flat (No. A-908, EGI Sky Garden, Bhagwada), a group of accused individuals allegedly broke the lock of his bedroom and forcibly entered the premises.

The complaint alleges that the accused — identified as Hira Deep, his wife Milka Sagra; and Sarbjit Kaur, wife of Balwinder Singh, all residents of Khajurla, began recording videos without permission, while also hurling abuses and engaging in physical intimidation. Despite repeated pleas to stop, they allegedly threatened to ruin Nain’s life by spreading the video globally and socially ostracizing him.

The complaint further states that shortly after the incident, the accused and their associates circulated the video clips in online groups, leading to public humiliation of the student and his friend.
Based on the allegations, the police have registered a case under section 506, 509IPC and initiated proceedings against the accused. The matter is under investigation.
