PHAGWARA: A burglary took place in Nadala town of Kapurthala district while the occupants of the targeted house were away visiting relatives in Amritsar. The incident came to light when the family returned home to find the locks broken and household items scattered.
According to the complainant, Ranjit Singh, the theft occurred on June 25. The burglars allegedly entered the house by breaking the kitchen grill and ransacked the cupboards.
The stolen items include two gold chains, three gold rings weighing approximately 15 grams, one gold earring (mundri), and four gold earrings weighing around 14 grams. In addition, ₹10, 000 in cash was also reported missing.
Sub-Inspector Amandeep Nahar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Subhanpur Police Station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered. ASI Daljit Singh is currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity in an effort to identify the suspects.
