CHANDIGARH: The research paper of Dr. Amita Sharma, Head of the Department of Musical Instrumental, P.G.G.C.G., Sector-11 and research scholar Arundeep Singh has been selected for the international seminar ‘Dance and Drama Traditions of South-East Asian Countries’ being held at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
Both the teacher and her student have been invited by the B.H.U. Faculty of Music and Performing Arts to present their research paper in the seminar on to be held on September 8-9. Giving information, they said that the topic of their research paper was 'Similar musical instruments used in the dances of South East Asia and India'.
Passing through several stages, their research paper has been selected for presentation before delegates from India and abroad. Dr. Amita Sharma and Arundeep Singh said that it was a matter of great pride in itself that their research paper has been selected for the international seminar by one of the prestigious and historical institute.
They expressed their gratitude to the organizer of the seminar Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, B.H.U. for providing them with such an opportunity.
